The Wishlist: Therapeutic Eye Mask

I'm toning things down a bit after that long post on yet another dream phone. The next item on my birthday wishlist is an eye mask. Actually, any black eye mask would do but a therapeutic eye mask would be better. Haha!

Why an eye mask?

I used to have long, peaceful hours of sleep but then college came and I'm pretty sure you know what comes with college - long, stressful nights without sleep. And I think, this could also go out to all those other people who have toxic jobs. You know it's really sad when you can no longer have the usual eight hours of sleep because even twenty four hours is not enough for you to finish what you're suppose to be doing. All in the name of what right?! Success?! Hahaha, okay I remembered I'm not here to philosophize or rant about the miserable lives we have now. The sleep we should be having becomes nothing but a nap, worse, a powernap! All we want to do is sleep...sleep all day (if we can JUST have it).

I think that what's worse with having short hours of sleep is it not being a peaceful one....Like when you are easily disturbed by even the softest of noises/movements or when you wake up from time to time or you wake up and think "Was I actually asleep? I felt like I was up the whole time!" or just a glint of light from your window actually feels like there's a flashlight right in front of your eyes.

I'm saying I suffer from all of these. But right now, I usually can't sleep well because I'm easily awakened by light. So most of the time, I cover myself up with my blanket even if I have to sacrifice fresh air! Hahaha! I never wore eye masks even if we had a lot back when my aunt was still here (she works in an airline so she has a lot of those freebie eye maksks)...But lately I think I need one.

I want a BLACK (so there's really black/knock out) therapeutic eye mask, one of the more popular brands I know (I think I saw one in Rustan's) is the Healthcare eye mask. This particular mask speeds up blood circulation and relieves eyes and makes them bright (Wow!)

According to Made-in-China Online, the Healthcare Eyemask functions as:

1. The black flannel outside of eyeshade can shelter from the light.
2. Pure silk inside lining is soft and comfortable
3. The special tourmaline ceramic material can adjust the temperature around ***** also can radiate far-infrared of 2-18 micrometer which can speed up blood circulation of eye, relieve fatigue and illness, and recover health for eyes.
4. It is safe and comfortable to wear, suitable for wearing in flight, officeroom and having a rest in daytime.

If this is one of the ways I could get my most wanted sleep...I'm sure you wouldn't want to deprive me of that right? LOL.
